Income Tax Fair begins in Gopalganj

A four day- long Income Tax Fair began at Income Tax office premises at Bankpara in Gopalganj city on Saturday. The theme of the fair was “We will be self-sufficient, everyone will pay taxes” . Gopalganj Tax circle-03 organized the fair and it continuing till this month November 19. As many as 12 stalls including different bank, insurance company, income tax return booth, e-tin booth and help desk setup in the fair. Shahida Sultana, DC, Gopalganj present as the Chief Guest. Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, President District Awami League, Gopalganj Zila Parishad Chairman, Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Bacchu, Chairman, Sadar Upazila Parishad, Gopalganj, Kazi Liakat Ali, Mayor, Gaopalganj Pourashava, Abdul Sukur Mia, Deputy Tax Commissioner Circle and Kazi Jinnat Ali, President, Chamber of Commerce and Industries Gopalganj were presented as special guests respectively. Murtaza Shariful Islam, joint Tax Commissioner, Tax Zone, Dhaka preside over the function. Among others tax payers, teachers, students and high officials of this district were presented in the programme.
Nabanna Utsab observed in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj District Administration arranged many programme marking the Nabanna Utshab- 1426 Bangla. DC Md. Sarowar Murshed Chowdhury inaugurated the festival at Biam Labrotory School premise on Saturday. A discussion meeting was held at Biam Labrotory School play ground on Saturday morning. It was addressed among others by Deputy Director and Deputy Secretary of Local Government Mohammad Abdullah, ADC (General) Abdullah Al Masud, Sadar UNO Md. Abdul Kadir Miah, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Sanak President Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu, Women Leader Bilkis Begum, Awami League Leader Enayet Karim Omi and District Krishak League Secretary Anwar Hossain Bacchu.
Four muggers detained in Sylhet

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-9 arrested four muggers from Kadomtholi Bus Terminal area in Sylhet on Thursday evening The arrestees were identified as Alamin 32, son of Jahangir Alom, Shopon Hawlader 39, son of Siddikur Rahman, Muktar 25, son of Abu Suma and Titu Chowdhury 24, son of Alfas Uddin. RAB-9 said in press release that on secret information a team of RAB-9 raided the Kodomtholi Bus terminal area and arrested the four muggers along with stolen mobile phone and cash money. Later they were handed over to the Dakkin Surma police station.
World Diabetes Day observed in Netrakona

The World Diabetes Day was observed on Thursday with a call for raising massive awareness about the disease. Netrakona Diabetic Samity (NDS) observed the Day through various programmes which included bringing out colourful rally and discussion meeting. As part of the programs, a colourful rally was brought out in the district town this morning . Large number of locals from all walks of life joined the rally that started from Malni road area and ended it in front of the Diabetic hospital, Islampur after parading different main roads of the town.
