4200- kg adulterated molasses recovered

Rapid Action Battalion-5 (RAB) led by Natore Company Commander ASP Md Razibul Ahsan and Executive Magistrate (Land), Lalpur Sadia Afrin raided and fined three lakh taka to molasses businessman Badsha Mondol (32) at village Mohorkaya under Lalpur district on Saturday. Convicted Badsha Mondol is a son of Md Somsher Mondol of the village Mohorkaya. On a secret information, RAB-5 recovered 4200 kg. of adulterant molasses from his molasses factory of the village Mohorkaya. Executive Magistrate Sadia Afrin fined three lakh taka to the molasses businessman Badsha Mondol for making and preservation of adulterant molasses. Also she ordered to destroy the recovered adulterant molasses.
Drug trader held with 100 bottles of phensidyl
A drug trader Babu Mia (35) was arrested with 100 bottles of phensidyl in Lalpur of Natore district on Suturday evening. Babu Miya is a son of Hazrat Ali of the village Roypur of Charghat thana under Rajshahi district. On a secret information, RAB led by Natore Company Commander ASP Md Razibul Ahsan raided and arrested him red handed with 100 bottles of phensedyl from Borbaria village area of Lalpur upazila. He was waiting there for selling those phensidyl.
Donation given among distressed in Gafargaon

Donation cheques were distributed among the elderly, widows, disabled , cancer, kidney, stroke and heart patients at Gafargaon in Mymensing on Sunday . On the occasion District Social Service Office and Upazila Parishad organised checks distribution ceremony. State Minister for Social Welfare Sharif Ahmed MP was present as Chief Guest where Fahmi Golondaz Babel MP presided over . Director General of Social Services Directorate Gazi Mohammad Nurul Kabir, Mymensingh Division Director Tahmina Akhter, Deputy Director Abu Abdullah Mohammad Waliullah, Upazila Parishad Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Uddin Badal, Municipal Mayor SM Iqbal Hossain Sumon were present as special guests. Among others UP Chairman Nazmul Haque Dhali, Municipality Awami League President Abdul Halim Manik, convenor of Upazila Jubo League SM Salauddin Polash, Convener of Upazila Volunteer League Aurongo Helal, Joint convener Didar Alam Master, Municipal Jubo League Joint convener Tajmun Ahamed were present . Later, donation cheques were distributed among the patients.

The 73rd birth anniversary of Shaikh Hasina, premier of Bangladesh, daughter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibor Rahman and President of Bangladesh Awami League was celebrated in Bagerhat district town and its all the 9 Upazilas by Awami League and its all the front organizations on Saturday in great pomp and grandeurs. Previously Bagerhat district Awami League chalked out an elaborate programme to celebrate the day in a befitting manner. As a part pf the programme a Doa and Milad Mahfil was held in the Rail Road district Awami League Office with Al-haj Dr. Mozammel Hossain, seating MP of Bagerhat Constituence-4 and President of Bagerhat district unit of Bangladesh Awami League in the chair for good health and long life of the premier. At that time freedom fighter Shaikh Kamruzzaman Tuku, General Secretary of Bagerhat district Awami League and Chairman of Bagerhat Zila Parihad, Adv. Farid Uddin, Vice-president of Bagerhat district AL, Khan Habibur Rhaman.
