One killed in Habiganj road accident

At least one killed and other two auto passengers injured in a collision between a truck and a local auto rickshaw on Dhaka- Sylhet Highway in Olipur of Habiganj on Saturday morning. The deceased is identified as Joydevb Sarkar while injured were Khokan Sarkar and Jusna Sarkar. Shayestaganj Highway police OC Liaquat Ali said ‘A truck from Sylhet hit the auto rickshaw from the opposite direction when it reached the spot. Joydev died in the auto-rickshaw on the spot. Two people were injured in the incident. They were rescued and admitted to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital.’

Rajshahi District Police Woman Welfare Association (PUNAK) organised the Iftar and Doa Mahfil in Rajshahi District Police line with orphan and helpless child on Friday. Farhana Jassi, wife of Rajshahi Police Super and District PUNAK President was present as Chief Guests. At that time as especial guest Police Super Md. Shahidullah BPM, PPM. Besides, other officers and officials of PUNAK were present. Special prayers were offered at Iftar Mahfil for the the welfare of the organisation.
Unidentified youth found dead in Cumilla  
CUMILLA: Police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from a primary school building in Sahebnagar in Sadar upazila on Saturday morning. Sheikh Mahmudullah, in-charge of Mainamati police outpost, said that locals spotted the body of the youth at the veranda of the Sahebnagar Government Primary School in the morning and informed police. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College and Hospital morgue, reports UNB.
