A memorial meeting and Doa MahfiL on former executive member of Dakshin Surma Press Club senior journalist Tajul Islam Bangali was held at Mushafir Hotel Station Road in Dakshin Surma Sylhetrecently. Dakshin Surma Press Club President Jahangir Alam Mushik presided over this meeting . Press Club founder President Aftab Uddin, GS Haji M Ahmed Ali, Treasurer Taj Uddin Joint Secretary Kabir Ahmed, former president Ajmal khan, Vice President Chanchal Mahmud Fulor, Sha Emad Uddin Nasiri, founder member Dara Hasan polash , Gulam mortuza Bucchu, Former treasurer Kaium ullash, Press Club GS Asraful Islam also spoke in the meeting .Former acting GS S A Shofiee conducted the meeting and Moulana Sha Emad Nasiri Conducted Dua mahfil.
UK Research Team visits BAU

PEDIGREE Research team of University of Stirling, UK lead by Dr.Francis Murray and principal investigator of this Project visited Bangladesh Agricultural University(BAU), Mymensingh on Friday. They met the journalists at International Guest House Conference Room of BAU. Dr Andrew Desbois of University of Stirling, UK, Dr Meezanur Rahman, Aquaculture Scientist World Fish Bangladesh, Dr Mohammad Mahfujul Haque, Professor of BAU, Dr Faruk Ul Islam of UK based Development Organisation, Practical Action and others team member were present at the press conference. Krishibid Din Mohammed Dinu, Deputy Director, Public Relations and Publications of BAU and journalists were present in the programme followed by an iftar. In the meeting Scientists were discussed more effective small holder aquaculture health management in Bangladesh especially focused Probiotics in intensifying pangasius catfish and shrimp sectors. PEDIGREE a development project funded by UK Research and Innovation Department (UKRI) to increase awareness of these issues for good aquaculture and safe fish production in Bangladesh.
Collectorate School inaugurated in Bhola
BHOLA: A collectorate school was inaugurated in Elisha road of the town on Wedbnesday. Barisal Divisional Commissioner Ram Chandra Das inaugurated the school as the chief guest this noon. On the occasion, a function was held by the district administration with Deputy Commissioner Md Masud Alam Siddique in the chair. Zila Parishad Chairman Abdul Momin Tulu, Police Superintendent Md Mokter Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Selim Reza, Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Kamal Hossainspoke, among others. Divisional Commissioner Ram Chandra Das laid emphasize on quality education to create a skilled workforce and said student should acquire knowledge alongside brilliant result.The chief guest urged teachers to promote sports and cultural activities for cognitive development of the student, , reports BSS.
