Education Fair, Mina Exhib end in Netrakona

A two- day long education fair and Mina exhibition was concluded at Netrakona central Shaheed Minar premises here on Tuesday last with a call to flourish primary education for making the foundation of developed life. Netrakona district primary education Department organized the education fair and Mina exhibition marking the National Education Week-19. Deputy commissioner Netrakona Mainul Islam formally inaugurated the events on Monday . A total of ten colorful stalls of different books and educational equipments for children were put on display at the fair and exhibition ground. The colorful stalls drew the attention of a large number primary-level students, children and women who gathered there every day. Apart from these, colorful musical soirees were arranged at the fair ground enthralling the large number of visitors.
20 pieces gold bar seized at Benapole smuggler held

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a Gold smuggler along with 20 pics of gold bar from Amra Khali area in Benapole Port police station on Wednesday afternoon. The arrestee was identified as Jikrul Islam 40 son of Alek Mollah in Lohagora upazila of Narail District. Lt Col Salim Reja, commanding officer, 49 Boder guard Battalion said Tipped off a team of BGB-men conducted a drive in the area around 11.00 am and arrested Jikrul Islam along with 20 pics of gold bar while smuggling to India.. BGB search his body and recovered the Gold.. The value of the gold is 1 crore 15 lakh BGB CO added. The seized gold was deposited to Benapole customs house godawn. A case was filed in this connection.
