Nurun Foundation arranges stipend programme

Nurun Foundation, a USA based non-profitable organisation, arranged reward program for meritorious at Upazila Auditorium of Sarail in Brahmanbaria district on Friday. Ex-Additional Secretary for Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Farhad Rahman Makki attended at the function as the chief guest while President of Nurun Foundation Bangladesh Community Board ANM MoinUddin Thakur and Coordinator of Nurun Foundation Bangladesh Community BoardMdJashimUddin delivered the welcome address to the participants. Among others, Sarail UpazilaNirbahi Officer ASM Musa, Upazila Secondary Education officer Sahid Khalid Jamil Khan, Sarail Thana officer in charge MdMafizUddin Bhuiyan and Joint Coordinator of Nurun Foundation Bangladesh Community Board Mohammad NiazUddin Thakur delivered the valuable speeches at the function as special guests. Fifty eight meritorious students were selected from twenty secondary schools of Sarail Upazila who were rewarded by Nurun Foundation. Besides, Twenty one social workers also rewarded by the organisation. The function was conducted by Member of Nurun Foundation Bangladesh Community BoardMamunur Rashid.
Animal Husbandry Day celebrated in BAU

Animal Farming Day was celebrated at the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in front of this theme for ‘safe livestock feeding animal husbandry’ on Thursday. A rally was held in front of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, after the completion of various important road courses of the University, ended at Shilpacharjo Zainul Abedin Auditorium. A seminar was also held marking the day. The seminar was presided over by Dean of Animal Husbandry Professor. Md. Nurul Islam. Alamani Association President and Syndicate Member Agriculture Officer Abdul Mannan MP were present as the chief guest. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Ali Akbar, Pro-VC Professor Dr. Md. Jasimuddin Khan was present as special guest. and President of Bangladesh Animal Husbandry Association (Baha) Professor Dr. Syed Sakhawat Hossain, President of the Program Implementation Committee Prof Dr. Satchidanand Das Chowdhury and member secretary Prof. Md. Sahidur Rahman.
Divisional level orientation meet held in Rangpur

Orientation meeting of Joint Action Plan For Nutrition Outcome (JANO) Project was held in the conference room of Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur recently. With the leadership of Divisional Commissioner Plan International Bangladesh organised the event. Objective of the meeting is to deliver a holistic concept of JANO project among the participants so that they can get a clear understanding of this project. Another objective is to pull the expected cooperation from government institutions and other organisations for successfully implementation of this project. Mohammad Jainul Bari, Divisional Commissioner, Rangpur was present in the meeting as chief guest while Dr. Hrishikesh Sarker, Divisional Manager (Acting) of Plan International Bangladesh was present as special guest.
Dr. Amal Chandra Saha, Director Health, Rangpur Division presided over the meeting. The meeting started with welcome speech by Dr. Hrishikesh Sarker. Basana Marma, Nutrition Specialist of Plan International Bangladesh presented an introductory report of JANO project. An open discussion session was held followed by presentation where participants got clear concept on this project.
