3 arrested with drugs in Ishwardi

Three persons were arrested with cash, mobile phone and narcotics at Kadamtala Railway Gate in the city on Tuesday noon. They are Masum Das, the son of late Arif Das of Sweeper Colony, Roki Das, son of late Ratan Das, Rabiul Islam, son of Minhaj Uddin. From them, 60 liters of domestic liquor, 1 mobile phone and 2530 rupees were recovered.

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a suspected drug dealer along with 1,870 bottles of country-made wine from Shilinda area in the city on Tuesday night.The arrestee is Shohim Alias Shimul (28), son of Lokman Ali, hailing from Charghat upazila in Rajshahi. On secret information, a team of elite force conducted a drive in the area and arrested Shohim, said a RAB press release. A case has been filed with Rajpara Police Station in this connection.
