Workshop on Agent Banking held in Kishoreganj

A workshop on Agent Banging for union Digital center management was held at Collectorate Conference Room jointly organised by Kishoreganj District Administration and Bank Asia Ltd on Wednesday. DC Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and SP Md Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM were attended as chief and special guest while ADC (Education & ICT) Abdullah Al Masud in the chair. It was addressed among others by Deputy Head Agent Banking Sector Md. Shihabul Alam, Sadar Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Abul Hasem, Bank Manager Shafiqul Alam Bhuiyan, District Press Club President Mustafa Kamal and CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito. At least 130 banking agent were participate training workshop.
World Food Day observed at Gafargaon

The World Food Day was observed at Gafargaon. On the occasion a rally was brought out from Gafargaon Upazila premises on Tuesday . The main feature of this day is ” Work builds Future, work will build Free from Hunger World in 2030″. After finishing rally a discussion meeting was held at the Upazila HALl Room . UNO Dr Shamim Rahman chaired the discussion meeting. Upazila Agriculture Officer Deepok Kumar Paul conducted the meeting. Among others, AC (Land) Ashraful Siddike, Fisheries Officer -Zahirul Islam Akanda, Accounting Officer- Monjur Ahmmed, Agriculture Extension Officer- Shakhawat Hussain, OC Abdul Ahad Khan of Gafargaon Thana, Family Planning Officer- Mahbuba Aziz, Primary Education Officer- Hafijul Islam, Secondary education Officert- Belayet Hussain , Co-operative Officer- Mir Kashem spoke in the meeting.
Potter, clay artisans reception ends in Barishal

The two days long tenth traditional clay artisan festival ended at Ashwini Kumar Hall in Barishal on Tuesday calling for preservation of cultural heritage with traditional arts and crafts. Participants and speakers of the programme also stressed on more patronizations to develop and expand environment friendly clay materials. The festival including exhibition of photo and preparations of clay materials, discussion, cultural functions etc. were jointly organized by ministry of cultural affairs and Mritshilpi Sammilon O Sammanana Uddyog (committee for reception and conference of clay-artisans). The closing ceremony of the festival was presided over by Altaf Hossain, President of Charukala Barishal and Ram Chandra Das, divisional Commissioner was Chief Guest. Among others Nisar Hossain, dean fine arts faculty, Chinmoyee Shikdar, assistant professor of fine arts faculty, Bulban Osman, writer, Ajoy Dasgupta, journalist,Syed Dulal, Kajal Ghosh, cultural activists, Bishwershar Pal, potter, Habibur Rahman, deputy commissioner, were the special guests.
