Nabanna Utsav observed in Barisal

The children of Barisal on Saturday observed Nabanna Utsav, the festival of harvesting new crop, with great enthusiasm. The day-long traditional socio-cultural festival was organized by district branch of Shishu Academy at Barisal NGO Development Network Auditorium. Among others Advocate Tipu Sulatan, Workers Party lawmaker, Shohidul Alam, deputy commissioner, Abu Yusuf Md. Rezaur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner, Pankaj Roy Chowdhury, district child affairs officer, huge number of children, their guardians and children organization leaders were present in the programme. Discussions, dress as you like, cultural function, country food items of Nabanna, were presented in the programme.
Free eye camp for rural women opens in Bogra

A free eye medical camp for the rural women was opened at Independent General Hospital in the town organised by Islami Bank Bangladesh Rural Development Scheme on November 15. The opening programme was presiding over Mr. Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Vice President (EVP) and head of Bogra Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited where Manoj Kanti Bairagi, GM of Bangladesh Bank , Bogra was addressing as the Chief Guest. Md. Rezaul Islam, Vice President and head of Bogra branch of the bank, Md. Ferdous Jaman, RDS Zone officer, KMA Ali Akbar Faruk, RDS project officer, Managing Director of the Independent General Hospital Md. Anisur Rahman spoke as special guests. A total of 300 women eye patients come from rural areas of the district town were also present in the eye free medical camp for getting free service. Doctors, Nurse and stuff of the Independent General Hospital will be given medical service for the women eye patients.
World Diabetes Day observed in Kishoreganj

Diabetic Samity of Kishoreganj arranged a rally, seminar, discussion meeting and medical camp marking the World Diabetes Day on Friday. A discussion meeting on ‘Healthy eating began with breakfast’ held at Diabetic Hospital Conference hall in the town. Deputy Commissioner S M Alam presided over the discussion. It was addressed among others by Somity General Secretary Md Shafiqul Islam, Dr Sushil Kumar Shil, Novo Nordic Regional Sales Manager Pulak Dus, AT M Mostafa, Nazirul Haque, Adv Lutfur Rashid Rana, Israt Jahan and Adv Jahirul Islam.
