Seminar on safeguards of minorities held

A seminar on the topic styled as “What Should Be Done by Us to Give Careful Protection to the Human Rights of the Minorities” was held in Bagerhat Press Club Auditorium under the auspices of Bagerhat District Unit of SUNAM (Surakhma, Nagarik Adhikar And Mayarjada with its President Mukharjee Rabinrdnath in the chair recently. President himself explained the need and importance of holding such a seminar in his inaugural speech. The key note paper on the topic was presented by Salma Nasrin Poly, Vice-president of the organisation. Mamu-ul-Hasan, ADC (Rev), Bagerhat spoke on the occasion as the chief guest. The seminar was also addressed among others by Ahad Uddin Haidar, President of Bagerhat Press Club, Abdul Baki Talukdar, General Secretary of the Club, Md. Farid Uddin, District Public Relation Officer, Prof. ABM. Mosharraf Husain, Vice-president of TIB and a senior member of Bagerhat Press Club, freedom fighter Manik Lal Majumdar, Shaikh Nazrul Islam, Milon Banarjee, Ahsanul Karim, Bisnupada, Maruf Parvez of BRAC, Fazle Syeed Doubleu, Poura Councilor Tania Khatun, Poura Councilor Abul Hashedm Shipon and Tusar Kanti Das.The seminar was conducted by Rabindranath Debnath, Secretary of the organisation.
