 3 frauds held , arms seized in Jessore

Jessore police on Sunday night arrested three frauds along with a 9mm pistol, two rounds of bullets a magazine and huge quantities of fake stickers of the ministry of home, blue books, driving licenses, driving identity cards, international driving route permits, wireless sets and hand calves, said Anisur Rahman, superintendent of police, Jessore. Tipped off, the police raided an area of Krishnanagar under Jhikargachha upazila and Khaldhar Road in Jessore town and made the arrest and recovery, the Jessore police boss added. The arrested are Pabitra Biswas of Salua village under Paikgachha upazila in Khulna, Shakil Ahmed of Khaldhar Road and Jafar of Barandipara in Jessore town. Four cases were filed against the arrested with Jhikargachha and Kotwali police stations, police said.
One killed in 3 -wheelers clash at Barisal

One female passenger killed and another female critically injured after their carrier battery-operated three-wheeler and a tempo collided at Amtala crossing on C and B Road about 7:10 pm Monday night. The dead victim was identified as Mahmuda Khanam Milu, 50, a family welfare worker of Charamoddi and injured one was Parbati Rani. Witnesses and police sources said after the collision the battery operated auto-rickshaw turned upside down and drivers of the both vehicles managed to flee. Local people brought the two injured at Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital. Milu was declared as dead and Parbati admitted there in critical condition, police and hospital sources said. Body of the dead victim would be sent to SBMCH morgue and police trying to arrest the both three-wheeler drivers, said Shakhawat Hossain, Kotwali police station officer in charge.
Man crushed unde train in Sylhet

A man died being crushed under a train near the Dakkhin Surma upazila headquarter in Naikhai area in Sylhet Sunday morning. The victim could not be identified immediately. The police, quoting local people, said the man, aged around 45, was crushed under a Dhaka-bound Jayantika Express, an intercity train, at about 8:20am. Sylhet Railway police officer-in-charge Alamgir Hossain said the man might have committed suicide. The body was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations, he added.
Peanut trader beaten death in Panchagarh

A peanut trader was beaten to death by some miscreants in Bhogpara area of Marea Bamonhat union of Boda upazila on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Zahirul Islam, 25, son of Arman Ali, a resident of Bhogbari village of the upazila. Ruhul Amin, chairman of Marea Bamonhat union, said some unidentified miscreants beat Zahirul severally when he was on the way home on a motorcycle from Marea Futkibari Bazar around 12.00am. Later they left him in a severely injured state along with the motorcycle in a nearly paddy field. Some pedestrians rescued him after hearing his sound. Later he succumbed to his injuries while being taken to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital. Officer-in-charge of Boda Police Station M Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident.
A case was filed in this connection.
