3- day Islamic ccngregation ends in Kurigram

A 3- day Islamic congregation ended in Kurigram Government College ground with Akheri Munajat on Saturday.Thousands of Islamic devotees of Tablik Jamat from all the nine upazilas in the district including others parts of the country participated in the congregation. The Hujur from Dhaka delivered the valuable speech (Bayan) including Hadith. Kurigram superintendent of police Tobarak Ullah said. Police forces have been deployed for smooth law and order situation.
 Trader arrested with 12 kg hemp in Phulbari
Phulbari thana police in Kurigram district arrested a hemp trader with 12 kgs hemp from Anantapur frontier at on Friday morning.The arrestee was identified as Monnaf Ali 28 son of late Alimuddin of village Anantapur Balabri in the upazila.Officer-in-Charge of Phulbari police Station Bazlur Rashid said, a case was filed with police station.
Edn instruments, food given among flood-hit students

Presided over Shahadat Hossain, President of Managing committee of the school under Sariakandi upazila of Bogra district on Thursday, headmaster of Bogra Girls’ High School and representative of Red Crescent were present in the function while teacher of Alfort Academy Forly Jonson and Donlenge were spoke as the representative of Scotland . Rabeya Khatun Headmaster of Bogra Girls’ Primary School, Secretary of Upazila AL Alamgir Shahi Sumon, Headmaster of Naukhina PN High School Ahsan Habib were present in the distributing function among others.
15 cocktails recovered in Chapainawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 recovered 15 cocktails from a mango orchard at Moharajpur under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Friday morning.Commanding Officer of Chapainawabganj camp of RAB Major Quamruzzaman Pavel said, acting on secret information that some unidentified people stored cocktails in a mango orchard at Moharajpur Ghorastand area for conducting destructive activities, a patrol team of RAB from Chapainawabganj camp rushed to the spot and recovered the cocktails in an abandoned condition at around 6 am.
World Teachers Day observed in Bagerhat

Under the auspices of NGO IIS (Jagroto Juabo Snagha) Biswa Shikkhak Dibas (World Teaches Day) was observed in Bagerhat district town in a befitting manner on October 23 . On the occasion a colourfu rally that was brought from the Bagerhat Press Club premises in the morning paraded the main roads of the town. After that a lively seminar on the topic ‘Invest in future, invest in teacher’ was held in Bagerhat Press Club auditorium with its president Babul Sardar in the chair.
Handicrafts and Cottage Industries Fair-2014 begins

A month-long ‘Handicrafts and Cottage Industries Fair-2014’ has begun at Senakunjo gorund in Rangpur city on Monday. Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu formally inaugurated the fair as the Chief Guest. While Panel Mayor of RCC Golam Kabir Kajol, Councilor for Ward No-33 Sultan Ahmed, General Secretary of District Sports Association Advocate Anwarul Islam and President of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu were present as special guests. A number of officials, businessmen, official, civil society members, journalists and local elites were also present on the occasion. The fair is being organised by Prince Event Management with the aim to promote local manufactures and producers and provide a platform for companies to market their brands and present their latest products.  
A total of 65 stalls and 5 pavilions set up in the fair are displaying and selling different products produced in the local cottage industries. Various childrens’ rides including “Nagordola” and “train” have also been arranged in the fair to entertain the children.
