Shab-e-Barat observed in Gouripur

Shab-e-Barat, was observed in Gouripur Upazila of Mymensingh district in a befitting manner with due religious fervour and solemnity on Tuesday. The Muslims consider Shab-e-Barat as one of the three most sacred nights and believe that on this night Almighty Allah writes the fate of all human beings fixing their ‘rizq’ for the coming year The Muslims across Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district spent sleepless night at mosques and homes, offering prayers, reciting from the holy Quran and seeking divine blessings for long life, peace, progress and happiness for themselves, their families, relatives and friends as well as the nation and the Muslim Ummah. The Muslims devotes across Gouripur upazila visited graveyards of their near and dear ones to offer fateha seeking divine blessings for the peace of their departed souls.
May Day observed
The historic May Day was observed in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district in a befitting manner on Tuesday . Political parties, trade unions and labour organisations in Gouripur upazila took programmes to celebrate the day. Ruling Awami League and BNP upazila and poura unit held different programmes to celebrate the day and others took elaborate programmes to mark the day. People from all walks of life and activists of political, cultural and professional organisations, institutions and. clubs brought out a procession in the town of Gouripur.
Two Dak bunglows inaugurated in Kurigram

Two Dak bunglow (Rest House) under Zilla Parishad was inaugurated in Kurigram recently .Chairman of Kurigram Zilla Parishad Md Jafar Ali formally inaugurated at first a two storied Dakbanglow at Nageswari upazila which was constructed at a cost of Tk 1.09 cr in the fiscal 2017-2018 as the Chief Guest while CEO of the Zilla Parishad Alaya Khatun presided over the meeting. The meeting was addressed among others by Zilla Parishad Member Sohrab Hossain Chand, Golam Mostafa, Kazi Lal, Lovely Begum, Mahbuba Begum, Sheuly Begum,Abdul Karim,Falguni Tarafdar, political leaders, officer-in-charge of Nageswari thana and local elites. The speakers praised to construct the beautiful building for the visitors.
SEIP advocacy workshop held

Ministry of Finance and Kishoreganj district administration jointly arranged an advocacy workshop on Skills for Employment Investment Programme (SEIP) held at Local Collectorate Conference room on Monday. Acting Deputy Commissioner & Senior D.S Md. Zahirul Islam wa attended as chief guest while ADC (Gen) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil in the chair. Senior Consultant of SEIP a Project of Finance Ministry Dr. Waliur Rahman was attended as special guest. It was addressed among others by Senior Megistrate Abu Taher Sayeed, Sadar Upazila Chairman Advocate Shariful Islam, Senior District Information Officer Md. Shamsul Haque, D.E.O Md. Shajahan, Deputy Director of Social Service Md. Kamruzzaman, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, its Secretary Ashraful Islam, NDC & Megistrate Shariful Islam, Magistrate Aklima Begum and BRAC Manager Bazlur Rashid. At least 40 persons including Government, non-Government and journalists joined the advocacy workshop.
