Nat’l Nutrition Week begins in Kishoreganj

Civil Surgeon Office of Kishoreganj arranged a colourful rally, discussion, cooking , art competition among the children, motivation scientific vegetables production with farmers marking the National Nutrition Week- 2018 began on Tuesday. A discussion meeting was held at Civil Surgeon Office conference room on Thursday with Civil Surgeon Dr. Habibur Rahman in the chair. It was addressed among others by Former Director Dr. Deen Mohammad, ADC (Gen ) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil, Senior Megistrate Abu Taher Sayeed, Additional SP Masud Anower, Family Planning Deputy Director Enamur Rahman, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, BMA District Secretary Dr. Abdul Wahab Badal, Medicine Specilist Dr. Ataur Rahman, Women Chamber President Fatamatuz Zohora, Jail Super Md. Bazlur Rashid, senior journalist Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu and Women’s Leader Bilkis Begum. At least 10 cooking stalls were set-up in the Civil Surgeon premises.
New recruits asked to deliver quality banking services
RAJSHAHI: Senior bankers have asked their newly recruited subordinates to show their professional skills in discharging their duties. They came up with the call while addressing the closing and certificate- giving session of a five-day orientation course for 32 newly appointed supervisors of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) at its training institute here on Thursday. RAKUB Managing Director Kazi Alamgir and its General Manager Mozammel Haque, among others, spoke on the occasion with principal of the institute Ataur Rahman in the chair. The speakers stressed for ensuring client-friendly banking so that the clients get benefits of the banking services. Highlighting the importance of RAKUB in agricultural development of the northwest Bangladesh, they said the bank officers should apply the knowledge acquired from the training course in their professional field properly to help boost agricultural production in the region., reports BSS.
World Orphans Day celebrated in Khulna

With the slogan “Our kids, our future”, World Orphans Day was celebrated in Khulna amid festivity on Tuesday at a Cafe House located near at Khulna University area. The function was arranged by World Wide Organization for charity (WOC) , Khulna Team. A group of young campus Ambassadors of English Olympiad (EO), country representatives and volunteers in Khulna Division under the platform called WOC, previously known as World Orphan Centre. Mohammad Amanullah, the founder of WOC inspired the young guys to do works for the orphans. In 130 countries of the world this organization has been conducting its benevolent works for the children who have no parents and who are underprivileged ones. Shahida Ferdous, Sadman Iqtader, Shhajabin Sakhawat, Mourita Parvin Ritu and Md Wasiul spoke in the discussion meeting marking the day. In their speeches the discussants told that they are firmly determined to draw the attention to the sufferings of orphans and underprivileged children in a effort to make nations take better care of their children. The discussants further said, tragically, millions of children all over the world have become orphaned due to some reasons such as war, famine, displacement, diseases or poverty.
