Moitree Krishi Mela held in Bogra

‘Moitree Krishi Mela’ was held at Amichukai village of Kagoil Union of Gabtoli upazila in Bogra district on Monday. Dr. Vagga Rani Banik, Director of Oilseeds Research Centre under Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute was present as the Chief Guest and also opened the Krishi Mela. Moitree Krishi Paribar organised the Mela and president of the Moitree Krishi Paribar Abu Said Akandh chaired the programme. Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Hossain, Director of Shibganj Spices Research Centre, Bogra was also present as special guest.
26 cocktails recovered in Chapainawabganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 recovered 26 cocktails from Chowdhury Square under Moharajpur union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Tuesday night. RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the area at around 10-50 pm and recovered the cocktails in an abandoned condition from under a depot of sand. The cocktails were stored to conduct destructive activities and RAB has been trying to nab the criminals, the sources added.
Youth leadership training programme held in Sylhet

Active Citizens’ Youth Leadership Training Programme (ACYLT) is a British Council Programme that brings networks of people worldwide who have a role in their local community and would like to contribute to community development. For the first time volunteer for Bangladesh, the volunteer wing of EHDS in association with British Council has organised a four daylong training programme which is a great opportunity for the youth to share ideas and experiences within different groups and outside their community. The event was organised in Captain Academy Shahjalal Upashor on Monday afternoon. SMP ADC (South) Jadan- Al- Musa as a Chief Guest on the programme. Among others AC south Nasiruddin, AC Ataur Rahman, ward councilor Syed Misbah Uddin, Secratary Tofail Mostofa, MC collage lecturare Golam Moula, The New Nation Sylhet Correspondent S. A. Shofiee, Principal Oliuddin, Photo journalist Shorif Ahmed were present in the programme. EHDS Chairperson Musammat Badrunnesha chaired and Active Citizens fesilator Fahmida Rahman conducted the progrmme.
