Right to Know Day observed in Chapainawabganj

International Right to Know Day was observed in a befitting manner in Chapainawabganj on Sunday.Chapainawabganj district administration arranged a colourful rally in the morning.The rally was taken out from the deputy commissioner’s office premises at 9-30 am. After parading the main roads of the town it ended at Shahid Satu Hall. Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj Mohammad Zahangir Kabir led the rally. Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Ashraful Islam, upazila nirbahi officer of Chapainawabganj sadar Mirza Shakila Dil Hasin and president of the CCC Advocate Saiful Islam Reza also present. Later MMC arranged a seminar on ‘National Broadcasting and Right to Know’ with the vice president of Chapainawabganj district unit of Local Government Journalists Forum (LGJF) Azizur Rahman Shishir in the chair.
Unidentified bullet hit body recovered in Jhenidah

Police recovered an unidentified bullet hit body, 35 from Hingarpara village field under Horinakundo upazila in Jhenidah on Monday morning.The identity of the body could not be known as of filling the report.Officer in charge (OC) Earsadul Kabir of Horinakundo police station said, on Monday morning at around 07:30 am locals found a body at Hingarpara village field and inform police. On information police reached the spot and recovered the body. He found the mark of bullet injuries at the back side of his hade. The miscreants left his bullet hit body at the field. A murder case has been filed with Horinakundo police station in this connection, the OC added.
Jungle pirate arrested in Sharankhola

Police of Sharankhol PS arrested jungle pirate Rafikul Islam, an active member of Belal Bahini, a notorious gang of jungle pirates of Sundarban forest and sent him to the court in Bagerhat district headquarters. It is learnt from the police that acting on a secret informatin SI Mamun of the PS raided the village Uttar Rajapur under Sharankhola Upazila in the district and arrested him from village residence on Friday at night He is the son of one Yunus Hawladar of the village. It is learnt from Kazi Abdus Salek, Officer-in-charge of Sharankhola PS that Rafikul had been committing dacoity in Sundarban forest as a member of an armed gang of jungle pirates for a long. Besides this he was involved in the murder of fish trader Somed Member in the hands of Shirsha Bahini, aother notorious gang of jungle pirates at Chaprakhali in Sundarban forest in the year 2012.
