National Road Safety Day observed at Gafargaon

On the occasion of National Road Safety Day , a human chain , discussion meeting and Milad Mahfil were arranged by Gafargaon Upazila Road Safety Committee recently. “The Road is as it were in peace ,not death.” at Gafargaon under Mymensingh on Sunday noon at Station Road.taking part in people of all walks of life . “We drive the car carefully, we shall come back home safely before this slogan arranged by We Want Safe Road ,Member of NISHCHAR , Teachers, Journalists, activists of social and cultural organization, students paraded a rally the main roads of municipality and was ended at a central memorial . After the human and rally , a discussion meeting was held . Rubel Mahmud , Generall Secretary of this committee organized a meeting . Dhali Zobaier Ibn – Shans president of Upazila Road SAfety Committee presided over the meeting. Child organiser journalist Fakir- e -Matin, NISCA Adviser UP chairman Nazmul Haque Dhali , NISCHA member Lecturer Golam Mahmud Faropki ,Journalist Nazmul Haque , Sangbadik Azharul Haque, Lecturer Sabir Kamal Pouro Councilor Mashiur Rahman Kiron , Sangbadik Matiur Rahman, Blood Donation organization of Ovudhoy Badrul Tipu delivered their speeches to create awareness among people about road safety.
Design of Saidpur municipal market approved

After the approval of the design of a neoteric Municipal Community Center, Mayor of Saidpur Municipality took the initiative to present the people a well designed and well planned Municipal Market. In order to fulfill the dream of the business centre and to start it’s construction, a meeting has been called by Mayor on Sunday. The meeting was held at the conference room of Saidpur Municipality in presence of different business leaders, heads of the educational institutions, Imam, people of print and electronic media, reputed business class and others. Mayor of saidpur Municipality Md Amjad Hossain Sarkar presided over the view exchange meeting regarding the Municipal Market and other development activities. Based on the opinion and consent of the presence, a design was approved and it will be built on the old Truck Stand of Bangabandhu Road in the Town with the financial help of the World Bank.
