Finally platform built at Saidpur Rly Station

Finally platform has been built in the second line of Saidpur Railway Station recently . After a long time , a mini platform has been built in the second line. It was a great trouble for the passengers to get up and down from the train as there was no platform in the second line of the station. The news, describing the various sufferings of the passengers has been published in many Local and National Newspapers including North Bengal News and The New Nation. Ultimately the Railway authorities felt it important about the construction of second line and finally it has been built.
One dies under wheels of train

 A man named Sohel Mea (42) died under the wheels of train at Gafargaon under Mymensingh recently. The deceased was identified as Sohel Mea (42) man of Bir Kharua village under Moshakhali Union. It is learnt that Jamalpur Commuter Train left Moshakhali Station and reached outer signal .When Sohel Mea wanted to try to get up from the running train at that time, he went down the train and became critically injured. Later, locals sent him to Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex but on the way he died.
Shops fined TK. 1.24 lakh in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI: The regional office of Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institution (BSTI) fined a total of 18 shop-owners in the region Taka 1.24 lakh during the last month of July for selling and manufacturing adulterated food items. BSTI in association with respective district administration conducted 16 mobile courts and found selling of substandard and unhygienic food items violating BSTI rules and regulations.The court also realised Taka 1.24 lakh from the shop owners during the drive.Altab Hossain, Director of BSTI, said the regional office has stepped up its drives against the manufacturer of substandard and adulterated food items. Such drives will continue in the days to come for the greater interest of the people, he said.The BSTI regional office also conducted 29 surveillance/squad drives for prevention of pilferage in weight and measurement and using of formalin in fruit and fish, the official added, reports BSS.
One held with 9 cocktails in Bholahat
CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged terrorist with nine cocktails from Brahmangram village under Bholahat upazila in the district yesterday morning. The arrested person is identified as Md. Moslem Uddin, 30, resident of the aforesaid area.RAB-5 said on secret information an operational team of the elite force from Rajshahi Mollapara camp raided the area at around 4 am and arrested Moslem with the cocktails. Later he was handed over to the Bholahat Thana police with a case.
Police official closed for involvement with immoral activities

Barisal Metropolitan Police authority ordered to close Mainul Islam, sub inspector of Barisal Airport police Station, for his alleged involvement with immoral activities. Farhad Sardar, assistant commissioner of BMP, confirmed the report. Owner of a house at Gorosthan Road area of the city, alleged after returning home on Tuesday night he found that S I Mainul entering in his house engaged in immoral activities. Then he locking the room from outside informed police local people and journalists. Police rushed to the spot collected the facts and after receiving evidences in primary investigation, decided to close SI Mainul to Barisal police line on Wednesday, ACP of BMP added. Abdur Rahman Mukul, officer in charge (investigation) of Barisal Airport police station, said till this report no case was lodged and further investigation in this connection going on.
