One killed in Sylhet road mishap

One killed as the vehicle plunged into a roadside ditch at Otirbari in South Surma upazila on Saturday morning .The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately. Witnesses said a passenger carrying Microbus (Dhaka Metro Cha- 155892) plunged into the ditch after a wheel was separated from the bus around 5pm, leaving its Passenger dead on the spot. Officer-in-charge of South Surma Police Furry S.I Ripon confirmed the incident.
Four Shibir men arrested in Sunamganj  
Police arrested four Shibir leaders and activists, including its Sylhet district former president, from different areas of Sadar upazila in Sunamganj district on Friday night. The arrestees were identified as Mahmudur Rahman Delwar, 35, former president of Sylhet district unit of Shibir and son of Abdur Rauf, a resident of Buristhal village, Jasim Miah, son of late Fazar Ali of Kamarvita, Jubel Ahmad, son of late Barik Miah of Jamtala and Ruhul Amin, son of Alkas Ali of Tegharia in Sadar upazila of Sunamganj.
One electrocuted in Dasiar Chara Ex Enclave

One electrocuted at village Dhoparvita in former enclave Dashiarchara under Phulbari upazila in Kuirigram at around Saturday evening when he was connecting electricity with irrigation pump. The deceased was identified as Abdul Khaleque 38 son of late Abul Hossain (Dolo Miah) in the village. The member of Phulbari union council Mozammel Haque Bepari confirmed the incident and told that local people recovered and was taken to Phulbari upazila Health Complex where the attending doctor Ershadul declared him dead. At 9pm he was burried in his own resident.
Mobile app eases access to land registration
A new mobile app, ‘Land and Registry Service’, has been introduced in the district, aiming to give relief to people from the complications in land buying and selling, and registration. Sub-registrar of Bhurungamari in Kurigram Md Shahjahan Ali made this useful app during a training programme held under a project of Access to Information (A2i). And now the app is being used in other sub-registry offices, too. The app can provide important information about formats of documents, document registration process, registration cost and many more as such. Information about marriage registry and divorce can also be found here. Those who had to seek help from brokers or deed writers are now getting their information easily sitting at their home. A user of this app, Jaynal Abedin from Manik Kaji village of Bhurungamari, said he came to register his land at the registrar office after knowing all the related information from the app. Now they do not have to approach anyone or be deceived anymore in the registrar office, he added. Deputy Commissioner of the district Md Nurul Amin said A2i is working on the app to ease people’s access to land registration related information, and hoped to deliver this app service to all the people as soon as possible. This app is available in Bangla for all android mobile phone users. Land buyers and sellers are now can download the app from Playstore for free of cost and get access to all necessary information related to lands.
