Putin, Trump may meet before G20 in July

The Kremlin said on Monday it was too early to talk about any possible deals with the United States over sanctions on Russia, but that President Vladimir Putin could meet U.S. President Donald Trump before the G20 in July.
Putin and Trump spoke by phone on Saturday and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call on Monday the exchange had been a good one.

‘Girl bomber’ dies, mosque targeted in NE Nigeria

A girl thought to be aged just 10 died after the suicide vest she was wearing exploded in northeast Nigeria, a civilian vigilante said on Tuesday, as another attack killed one at a mosque.
Musa Ahmad, who works with the military against Boko Haram Islamists, said the incident happened at about 11:30 am (1030 GMT) in Banki, near the Cameroon border in Borno state. “A girl of around 10 came by the military barracks and was trying to cross the road into the IDP (internally displaced persons) camp,” he told AFP.

17 Colombian civil leaders murdered

French FM visiting Iran, defends nuclear deal

France’s foreign minister has arrived in Iran’s capital for a two-day visit, defending the deal that world power reached with Tehran aimed at curbing Iranian nuclear activities and promising to keep France’s doors open to Iranians.
Jean-Marc Ayrault’s comments in a statement Monday night appeared to be a veiled response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s skepticism toward the Iran nuclear accord and his three-month ban on travelers from Iran and six other Muslim countries.
