Negotiation meet held in Bogra

A negotiation meeting on broker free Bogra zonal passport office was held on Monday presided over assistant director of it’s at office premises. People from civil society, journalists, common mobs and passport seekers took part here in the meeting while assistant director Salah Uddin is trying his level best to ensure the citizens proper service by any cost. He seeks help of journalists, civil society and ideal man so that he might be succeeded his mission within a few days. A passport seeker Emdadul Haque said in his speech, “I have got my passport from the office timely as the office AD is working tirelessly for well fare of the common people.” “We are getting standard service from the office and the officials need to serve by this way for ever.” he added. After the meeting an awareness lift let has been distributed amid the people. The people of Bogra district thanked the AD for taking this enterprise.
Workshop on RTI Act held at Bhangura

A day-long workshop was held on the Right to Information Act in Bhangura Upazila Parishad auditorium on Thursday. Abdul Karim, Joint Secretary of the Defense Ministry spoke as the chief guest. Md. Shamsul AlamUpazila Nirbahi Officer presided over the chair. D. Abdul Hakim, Deputy Director of the Information Commission had given the original statement by the projector. Among others, Akhter Hossain Deputy Director of the Department of Local Government in pabna.Principal Md Shahiduzzaman, Prof Mahbub-ul-Alam, president Bhangura Press Club, Abdul Motaleb, Somaj sheba Officer, Principal Abdul Jalil, OC Abdur Rob spoke in the training programme. Upazila Chairman Nur Mujahid Sawpon, Vice Chairman Jafor Iqbala hirok, Vice-chairman Josna Khatun, Government officials, journalists, teachers, secretary of the union Council, NGO representatives and women leaders also joined the training .
Moha Ras Lila Festival ends in Kamalganj

The Moha Ras Lila festival of the Manipuri community of Kamalganj upazila in Moulvibazar district concluded on early Tuesday.Thousands of people irrespective of religion cast and creed thronged the festival venue and enjoyed the programme the entire night. The festival is held year during Purnima (full moon), between the Bangla months of late Kartik and early Agrahayan. This year around one lakh people from across the country had gathered at the Manipuri populated Madhabpur and Adampur villages of Kamalganj upazila in Moulvibazar . The Ras Lila festival celebrates the boyhood of Lord Sri Krishna. In Shibbazar “Jora Mondop” (Manipuri temple) of Madhabpur village, the major venue of Moha Ras Lila, the programme began with a presentation of “Gustha Lila” (farmer-boy dance).

Several Manipuri boys made up as “Gopal” (the young Krishna) and his “Sokha” (friends), performed dances to the beat of musical instruments.Adv Chad Murari Sopon, president of Moha Ras Lila Seba Sangha, an organizer committee of Manipuri Ras Lila confirmed the matter to The New Nation.
