Goods with cash money seized by BGB in Bogra

Huge amount of Jira (spice) and other goods with cash money were recovered by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) with the help of Bogra district administration at Railway Colony of Bogra Station recently.43 BGB of Noagaon sources said that acting on a tip-off , a team of BGB led by the operation officer Captain Mohammad Raisul Islam conducted a drive with the presence of executive magistrate of Bogra administration Shah Mohammad Shamsuzzoha and recovered illegal 12, 389 kgs of Jira, 12 pieces of Indian sex inducing tab (Target 100 mg tab), 481 kgs of new plastic packets for packaging Jira and a machine for Jira (Spice) packaging and cash money TK. 8, 13, 230. BGB press release sources added that the total amount of the selling prices of the held goods and cash money will be Tk. 41, 64, 830 in total and the drive was conducted on the boundary of taskforce of anti-crime activities. BGB press release said that after recovering the mentioned goods and cash money they were handed over to Shantahar Customs Office of Bogra district.
Hanging body of boy recovered in Sylhet

Police recovered the hanging body of a boy from Arif bording of the Sylhet city on Wednesday evening.The deceased was identified as Alomgir Hossain, 24, son of Alkas Ali of Biswnath Upazila area.Dakshin Surma Police Station sources said local people found his hanging body and informed the police.Later, the law enforcers recovered the body that bore no injury marks at about 5:30 pm and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.Police said Alamgir might have committed suicide.
10 injured in road accidents on Barisal-Dhaka Highway

Atleast ten persons were injured in two separate road accidents on Barisal-Dhaka Highway on Tuesday.Abu Raihan Md. Saleh, Deputy Commissioner ( North and Traffic) Barisal Metropolitan police said, a truck carrying onion from Bogura to Barisal Hatkhola skidded to roadside ditch near Amrita Nagor of Rahamatpur at about 4:00 am on Tuesday.Three including driver and helper of the truck were injured in the incident.In another incident a passenger bus ( Jessore-Ba-394) of Al-Madina Paribahon plying on Vurghata-Barisal route fall in to road side ditch after a right-side wheel separated from the vehicle near Rahamatpur sub registry office at about 9:00 AM Tuesday.Shaheduzzaman, Barisal Airport police station officer in charge, said seven passengers’ sustained injuries in this accident and treated at different hospitals and pharmacies. Movement of vehicles on the highway was hampered for about 2 hours during salvage operation of the vehicles, the police officials acknowledged.
Training on nutrition begins in Monirampur Hospital

A nine- daylong basic training on nutrition has begun from May 17 and will continue till June 12. Two hundred 66 CHCP, FOA, SACMO, Medical assistants, pharmacists, technician and health inspectors are participating at the course. National Nutrition Service (NNS) was organized it at Monirampur Health Complex. On the occasion Upazila Health officer (UHO) Dr. Abul Kalam Azad in a press conference on Thursday briefed the objectives of the training course. He further said actually the goal of the training is raising awareness to the people of taking good food. UHO said we are giving logistic support to the backward people .In the press conference among others Dr Upal was present as resource person of IPHN, Dr, Ashraf Alom and Dr. Polash also attended.
