Ansar and VDP Dev Bank workshop held in Gopalganj

A workshop of Ansar and VDP Development Bank, Faridpur Region with the branch managers and second officers of 17 braches was held at Tungipara Conference Room on Saturday noon. Mohammad Zalal Uddin, Managing Director , Ansar and VDP Development Bank as Chief Guest and Khandokar Golam Mostofa, General Manager (GM – Operation), Ansar and VDP Development Bank, Md. Sazedur Rahman, District Commandant, Ansar and VDP, Gopalganj, Md. Mahbur Alam Sheikh Rasel, PVM, Director, Board of Directors, Ansar and VDP Development Bank were present in the workshop as special guests. GM Hafizur Rahman, Regional Manager (RM), Ansar and VDP Development Bank, Faridpur Region presided over the chair. Before the workshop, led by Managing Director of Ansar and VDP Development Bank, the officials of the Bank of Faridpur Region placed wrath at the grave of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and offered Fateha recitation. In the workshop, Mohammad Zalal Uddin, Managing Director (MD), Ansar and VDP development bank inquired and gave necessary directions to all the Officials of the realization of defaulted expired, of three months (July-September) and to do the next nine months to achieve targets.
2.30cr meters of current net seized
MUNSHIGANJ: A mobile court of Fisheries Department in a drive seized 2.30 crore meters of banned current net from Ramergah area in Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon. The court, led by executive magistrate Abdullah-AL-Mamun, conducted the raid at the Khan Fishing Net and seized the nets worth about Taka 1.15 crore. But none was arrested during the drive. The mobile court, comprised with officials of fisheries department, police and RAB. Later, the seized nets were burned in presence of the officials concerned, reports BSS.
2-day mechanical fest begins at RUET

A two-day mechanical festival titled ‘MECHA FEST-2016’ begann at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday. The mechanical engineering department of RUET organized the fest at the university campus, marking its golden jubilee. Rajshahi Law Maker Fazle Hossain Badsha inaugurated the inaugural ceremony of the programme at the central auditorium of the university around 9.00am as chief guest. RUET vice chancellor Professor Dr Rafiqul Alam Beg, acting registrar Professor Dr Md Mosharraf Hossain, Dean of mechanical engineering faculty Professor Dr. Nirendra Nath Mustafi, among others addressed the programme which was presided over by department chair Professor Dr Emdadul Hauqe.One the first day of the fest, a job fair was held where six renowned companies participated.
Traditional boat race held in Hossainpur, Gafargaon

The traditional boat race competition was held at Brahmaputra River organized by Shaheber Char village at Sidla Union under Hossainpur Upazila recently. Several thousands people including men, women and children of through the both sides at Gafargaon , Hossainpur Upazila and passengers boats of the Brahmaputra river enjoyed the boat race with great eagerness. Many teams of Gafargaon, Hossainpur, Pakundia, Kotiadi, other upazila of Kishoregonj and Mymensingh district took part in the event. The many villages of Hossainpur and Gafargaon Upazila under upazila Administration organized the traditional Boat Race in Brahmaputra river and its branches river every years during the rainy season.
