Son stabs father in Jessore

An elderly man was stabbed allegedly by his drug addict son as the father refused to give a piece of land to the attacker son, alleged that victim on Sunday. The victim Ahsan Ullah, 60 of Natun Khayertala on the outskirts of Jessore town is undergoing treatment at Jessore General Hospital. Ahsan Ullah told newsmen that one of his sons Noor Ali stab him as he refused give him a piece of land at around 11pm on Sunday. He earlier, registered 6 decimal of land in the name of his six sons. But Noor Ali sold his portion to a man. Dr Nusrat Jahan Mouri, medical officer, Jessore General Hospital told that the elderly man was undergoing treatment with stab injuries at the hospital.
Mobile Court fined Tk. 1 Lakh 10 thousand

A mobile court of Kishoreganj District Administration drive on Monday fined Tk. 1 lakh 10 thousand of two traders at Thana Market at Kalibari in the town. Additional Deputy Commissioner and 1st Class Magistrate Tarafder Md. Akhter Jamil led by mobile court in the drive M/S Swopon Store fined Tk. 1 lakh and Danash Store fined Tk. 10 thousand to banded foreign cigarate in Kishoreganj town. Mobile court recovered huge curtoon cigarate.
RAB detains 2 miscreants with cocktail, local arms

The rapid action battalion personnel in Jhenaidfah have arrseted two miscreatnts with cocktailal and local arms on TMonday midnight. The detained were Sazzad Hossain, 16, son of Akkas Joadddrederr and Touhidul Islam Tuhin, 25, son of Bashir Mandal of KHaajaura village of Jhenaidah Sadar upazila. Acting camp commander of Jhenaidah RAB- 6 Utpal Kumar Roy sdaid, acting on a tip off, a contingent of the law enforcers raided the house of Sazzad Hossain in the mid night and seeeized two cocktails, a ramadah, sword, chapati and some other ocal weaaponas from the bed room.
A case was filed with Jhenaidah Sdar police staion in this connection and the detained were sent to the police station.
Child drowns in Kachua

A 2 years old male child named Hemayet Talukdar was drowned in a fish farm in the village Kakarbil within Raripara Union under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat district on Saturday. It is reported that after a quarrel took place between the mother and the father of the ill-fated child the mother left the house of her husband and went to her parents’ residence in Barguna district a few days ago. Since then the child used to live with its paternal grand mother. On the day of occurrence the boy was sleeping with her grand mother in the after noon. But at one stage the boy woke up and went to a near by fish farm where he slipped was drowned in the fish farm without the knowledge of other inmates of the house. After a long search the dead body was recovered from the fish farm.
Cattle lifting up in Baraigram

Cattle lifting has increased in Baraigram upazila of Natore district. A group of organised cattle lifters is stealing cattle head of farmers at night. On last Saturday night, cattle lifters stole three cattle heads from the house of a farmer Faruk Hossain. He is an inhabitant of the village Koyen of Baraigram upazila. Cattle lifters entered into the cattle-shed breaking the door of it and escaped away easily with three cattle heads. Owner of the cattle heads, Faruk Hossain said that he awoke up at the early in the morning and saw nothing in the cattle-shed.
One held with yaba pills in Faridpur
FARIDPUR: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with yaba tablets from Bhanga upazilla of the district on Monday evening. The arrested person was identified as Md Zahidul Islam,32, a resident of the upazila.Acting on a tip off, a team of the elite force led by CC Major Abdullah Al Hassan conducted a raid in the Dariar Math market area and arrested him with 270 yaba tablets. Later, Zahidul Islam was handed over to Bhanga police, reports BSS.
