Under the auspices of Bagerhat Press Club all the working journalists of Bagerhat district town and its all the nine Upazilas formed a human chain in front of the club against militancy, communalism and terrorism in front of the club from 11 am to 12 am on Tuesday with its President Adv. Md. Shah Alam Tuku in the chair. Alhaj Adv. Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha, MP of Bagerhat Constituency-2, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and founder president of Bagerhat Press Club while was addressing the human chain as the chief guest, strongly condemned the militancy, communalism and all kinds off terrorism. He said, we all are behind the Premier Shaikh Hasina in connection with stern steps taken by her to subdue and uproot the militancy, communalism and terrorism from the soil of Bangladesh. He added, those who killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibur Rahman, members of his family and all others in 1975 are the masterminds of militancy and communalism.

A team of Detective Branch , Bogra arrested 5 alleged terrorists with firearm another with Yaba tablets and recovered 2 foreign pistols ,25 bullets, 3 magines, 5 chapatis from Miapara under Shajahanpur upazila of the district on Tuesday . In this connection , Mr Asadujjaman , Police super, Bogra called upon a press conference at his office’s conference hall on Tuesday at 2pm . At the conference ,Sp,Bogra informed that , being tipped off a team of Db, leading by Mr. Amirul Islam , officer in chage of Detective Branch Bogra Conducted a drive and arrested Md. Rosed alias Wased 30,son of late Mohammad Ali of Shantiwara village , Md, Saiful Islam ,28, son of Reaz uddin , Md.Ataur rahman 30 ,son of late Anis Ali both of Korianjul Dokkhin para ,Md. Manik Mia 36, son of Solaiman Fokir , Md Sofiqul Islam , 30 son of Wayez Uddin of the same village under Shajahanpur upzila of the district. The same team,in another drive arrested a notorious terrorist and yaba trader from Nisindhara under sadar upazila of the district on the same day around10 at night. The yaba trader was identified as Akbar Ali alias Beta Akbar Son of Kazi Rafiq Uddin of Senhati under Dgigholia Thana in Khulna.
