BRAC food, agri security program in Bogra

BRAC Food & Agriculture Safety Programme has been working for self sufficiency of the farmers at Dhunot upazila in Bogra district. Under this programme a ‘crop harvesting day was held recently in Chikashi union at Sultanhata Block. The programme was presided over by Faruk Hossein,upazila manager of BRAC Food and agriculture sector .Upazila Chairman A.K.M Touhidul Al Mamun was chief guest and U.N.O Md. Hafizur Rahman upazila agriculture officer, Dhunot, Bogra, Md. Jahangir Alam also attend on this programme.
Barisal City Jamaat Ameer arrested

Police on early Wednesday arrested Adv Moazzem Hossain Helal, Barisal City Ameer and Majlish- e- Shura member of Jamaat- e- Islami Bangladesh from Brown Compound area of the city. Shakhawat Hossain, Kotwali police station officer in charge, said police raided different houses of the Jamaat leaders in the city to prevent suspected sabotage and terrorist activities in the name of observing central Jamaat declared agitation on Wednesday. Under that drive, police raided Kusumaloy, the residence of Advocate Helal in the Brown Compound area and failing to find him there raided other houses of the area and succeeded to arrest him from a flat of Runa’s Villa, police official told.
BKB Karmachari Union annual Conference held in Gazipur

The bi-annual Conference of Bangladesh Krishi Bank (CBA), Gazipur district Unit was held at Trust Community Centre in Gazipur recently. Presided over by the President of Krishi Bank, Gazipur district Unit (CBA) Ibrahim Khalil on Saturday, Minister for Liberation war affairs Al-haj Adv A.K.M. Mozammel Haque M.P. delivered the speech as Chief Guest at the function. Shimin Hossan Rimi M.P. Adv Wajuddin Miah, Abdul Hadhy Shameem, Rafiz Uddin Rafiz spoke as special guest at the function.
