25 kilometre anti-militacy rally

 Locals in Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah on Saturday formed 25 kilometre human chain ofn different parts of Jhenaidah-Jessore highway protesting the militancy and terrorism in the country. Led by the law maker of Jhenaidah 4 constitution Anwarul Azim anar, hudreds of people including the students and teachers of schools and colleges participated in the human chain. Among others the students of Bishoykhali College, Mahtab Uddin Degree College, Kalaiganj Women’s College were participated in the human chain.
Tk 2 lakh snatched in Sylhet

Miscreants stabbed a young woman and snatched Tk 2 lakh from her in Lauway Bongobir road under Dakshin Surma on Thursday noon. The victim was identified as Sultana Begum, he was 23, daughter of late Azizur Rahman, hailed from Silam in this Upazilla. Sultana told to withdraw money from the bank she was returning to their in the Silam area. then eight miscreants stabbed it and snatched the money.
Restoration of ’72 Constitution demanded

Barisal district and city units of Workers Party on Saturday noon forming a human chain in front of Ashwini Kumar Hall in the city demanded restoration of constitution of 72, speedy execution of war crime verdicts and ban against religion based extremist parties to curb militancy and imperialism. The programme was presided over by Nazrul Huq Nilu, district WP president. Among others Advocate Tipu Sultan, WP lawmaker, Mantu Lal Kundu, Selim Chowkidar, TM Shahjahan, KM Bazlur Rahman Mintu, WP leaders, Advocate AK Azad, district CPB president addressed the rally. The speakers calling for restoration of the version of 1972 of the constitution to fulfill aims and object of liberation war in the country. They said every body should remember that the War of Liberation was not the result of the sudden declaration. Rather it was a result of a long journey and preparation to establish a state on basis of four ideologies like secularism, socialism, nationalism and democracy. Demanding speedier the process of trial and execution of highest punishment of war criminals the speakers said war criminals are a threat against Bangalee nationalism, culture and heritage. Trial of the war criminals needed to show homage to the martyrs of the War of Liberation, safeguard Bangladesh’s sovereignty and independence, the speakers told.
Human chain against militancy, terrorism in Faridpur
FARIDPUR: In connection with the 86th birth anniversary of Bangamata Fazilatunnessa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Faridpur district administration and Jatiyo Mahilla Sangstha, Faridpur unit jointly organized an hour long human chain yesterday against militancy and terrorism in the country.
The human chain which started at 11 this morning ended at 12 noon. The human chain on Mujib Sarak in the town was more than one kilometer long beginning from Faridpur Press Club to Police Lines High School. A number of educational institutions, offices including district administration, police department officials stood in the human chain to raise protest against militancy and terrorism. The participants expressed hate and indignation against the people who encourage militancy and terrorism, reports BSS.
