Newly posted Police Super of Netrakona Joydeb Chowdhory had a meeting with the Netrakona district based newspersons of different national, regional and local news papers, news agencies and electronic media at the conference room of Netrakona police line here on Tuesday.
The meeting discussed matters relating to over all law and order situation of Netrakona district and role of police and media for preventing crimes and terrorism and other anti-social
activities to free the district free from all sorts of crimes and terrorism.
Police officers and journalists including additional police super Netrakona Habibur Rahman Pramanik, assistant police super sader circle Mojibur Rahman Mojumder, assisatant police super Barhatta circle Mamun Khan Chisti, journalists -Haider Jahan Chowdhory, Muklesur Rahman Khan, M. Faqrul Haque, Mahbubul Kibria Chowdhory, Humayun Kabir Salim, AKM Abdullah, Alpana Begum, Delwar Khan and Anisur Rahman took part in the discussion.
In the meeting, the journalists drew the attention of police super on some local problems including traffic Jam and movement of different unfit automobiles widely known as “Leguna and trolley” in the main roads during the day time and setting up gambling dens in different areas.
They also urged upon the police super to take necessary measures including introducing urgent information providing service through mobile phones for the journalists for ensuring free flow of information to them from the police office.
