Newly elected chairman of Nayalabhanga union parishad under Shibganj upazila of the district Ashraful Haque was arrested just after his taking of oath in Chapainawabganj on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj district Zahidul Islam conducted the swearing of oath programme to the newly elected chairmen of 14 UPs of Shibganj upazila and four UPs of Bholahat upazila at his office at 11.30 am. As Ashraful Haque came out from the conference room after taking of oath, a team of Nachole Thana and DB police arrested him. Officer-in-Charge of Nachole Thana Fasiruddin said he was arrested as he was an accused in a sabotage case.
