Rajshahi City Jamaat leader killed in ‘gunfight’

Rajshahi Correspondent :A leader of Jamaat-e-Islami was killed in ‘gunfight’ between agitators and police in Rajshahi in the early hours of Wednesday. The dead, identified as Nurul Islam Shaheen, 45, was the Jamaat-e Islami’s secretary of the City’s Ward Number 30. He was also a teacher of Islamia Degree College, who allegedly ‘controlled’ armed cadres of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir, its student wing.
