Newly appointed Indian Envoy calls on Food Minister

The newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami paid a courtesy call on Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder at his Secretariat office here on Monday.
During the meeting, they discussed in detail bilateral issues including food quality improvement, setting up of testing laboratories and construction of ongoing food warehouses, said a press release.
The Food Minister said India is a tested friend of Bangladesh. The good relations that India had with Bangladesh during the War of Liberation are getting stronger day by day.
Good relations and mutual understanding between the neighbouring countries facilitate economic development of both the countries, he added.
He also hoped that the friendly relations between the two countries would further strengthen in the future.
The High Commissioner praised Bangladesh for tackling the ongoing Corona epidemic successfully.
