Newly appointed Appellate Division of the Supreme Court’s judges Tariq Ul Hakim and Obaidul Hasan paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, placing wreaths at his grave in Tungipara of Gopalganj.
They also offered prayers at his grave seeking eternal peace of departed souls of Bangabandhu and the martyrs of the August 15, 1975 massacre around 11:00 am.
Supreme Court Deputy Registrar Akhtaruzzaman Bhuiyan, Gopalganj District and Session Judge Amit Kumar Dey, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan, Tungipara upazila chairman Solaiman Biswas, Tungipara UNO Md Nakib Hasan Tarafdar, among others, were present there.
