The newly appointed Country Director for UNDP Bangladesh, Sudipto Mukherjee will arrive in Dhaka today to take his new assignment.
Mukherjee, well-known in the development world as a highly experienced architect and city planner was the UNDP country director for Sierra Leone.
Before joining the UNDP, he worked for Indian government and for the Department for International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom.
“The new country director will take more effective role in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through working closely with the government, the people of the country and other development partners,” UNDP said in a statement issued here yesterday.
