Newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Bangladesh Saed Mohammed Saed Hmaid Almheiri today called on Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali at latter’s office yesterday morning.
The Foreign Minister welcomed Almheiri to Bangladesh and discussed bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest, a press release said here.
During the meeting, they expressed their satisfaction over the enhanced engagement between Bangladesh and the UAE in the recent months and agreed to work for further expansion of the cooperation in the area of human resources, trade and investment, culture, aviation and other potential areas for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
The Bangladesh foreign minister assured the new UAE envoy of his full support from the Foreign Ministry in performing his responsibility.
