Newly appointed Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui on Wednesday presented his credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
The President warmly welcomed the High Commissioner and assured him of his full cooperation in discharging his duties, said the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka. The Pakistan envoy conveyed their government’s desire to President Hamid to further strengthen bilateral relations and bolster political, economic, cultural and defence bonds that exist between the two countries. He also stressed the need for enhancing trade, people-to-people contact and cooperation at all levels. Pakistan greatly values its relations with Bangladesh, said the High Commissioner adding that the ties between the two countries are based on mutual respect and shared values.
This is the second time that the government of Pakistan has chosen Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui to serve in Bangladesh.
