The newly appointed Pakistani High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shuja Alam called on Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Begum Raushan Ershad at her Gulshan residence here on Saturday.
During the meeting, Raushan Ershad laid importance on strengthening bilateral relations and increasing cooperation in various fields including investment and development between the two countries.
Leader of the Opposition said Bangladesh is progressing in various fields including women empowerment, protecting women rights and gender equity. “The country will achieve more progresses in the areas”, she said.
