Newly elected Chittagong city mayor AJM Nasiruddin exchanged views with the officials and sectional heads of all departments at Chittagong Threatre Institute hall yesterday afternoon.
Chief Executive Officer of CCC Kazi Md. Shafiul Alam presided over it.
In the city corporation election on April 28 last, city AL general secretary was elected City Mayor and theafter gazettee was published on April 30 last in connection.
The city mayors of Dhaka , North and south take oath as Mayor on May 6 last.
But the Chittagong city mayor will have to wait to assume charge after more two months as the term of the previous Mayor will expire in last week of july next, sources said.
Though Nasiruddin yet to assume the charges of CCC , but he is directing the officials of CCC about their work destinations.
In the meantime, newly elected Mayor were given several reception by different quarters for his becoming city Mayor .
