A pair of trains consisting 18 bogies each will be introduced in between Chittagong and Dhaka before eid vacation aimed at easy communications of the home going persons .
A reliable sources said in last meeting of Bangladesh Railway in Dhaka on June 11 last consensually decided to run a pair of special train in between the capital and port city from Eid vacation.
The probable name of these intercity service are Belabhumi and Nilgiri. Both the train will run non-stop like Suborna Express and will reach Dhaka from Chittagong by 5.45 hours. The exact timings of the train schedule will be announced very shortly, sources said.
Meanwhile as per earlier decisions, Bangladesh Railway East Zone supposed to deploy 80 new and renovated railway coach in the existing mail and intercity services and special Eid train service during coming Eid season.
Keeping the view in mind, Pahartali Railway workshop of East Zone in Chittagong are now busy to install the new imported coaches and renovation of old coaches in full swing.
Window glass, comfortable seats and other fittings are being installing in new coaches and the abandoned coaches are being repaired and painted with full scale services of the workshop technicians and workers, a railway sources said.
It is learnt, 30 coach already ready for deploying in the service and the remaining will be completed by this time.
The picture of new coaches for the coming eid special train, mail services, will be declared in the next meeting of Railway at Railway bhaban very shortly.
General Manager of East Zone Railway headquarters in Chittagong Engr. Md. Abdul Hai told the new nation that the homebound passenger during Eid vacation will get new coaches to reach their destinations more comfortably.
