Newly appointed High Commissioner of Malaysia for Bangladesh has expressed her hope to work to boost bi-lateral trade and investment between the two countries, according to a press release.
“I wish to extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to the people of Bangladesh. May the coming year bring us many more opportunities to further enhance the warm and friendly ties that exist between Malaysia and Bangladesh” said the High Commissioner H.E. Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib in a reception program recently.
Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) organised the reception programme at a city hotel recently.
H.E. Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib thanked the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) for organizing such a welcoming reception, who is also the Chief Patron of BMCCI.
She told that, “I am delighted having the opportunity to address the business community in this very auspicious occasion”. Earlier BMCCI President Ar. Md. Alamgir Jalil welcomed her Excellency and said that we look forward to working together to achieve our common objectives to enhance trade and commerce between Bangladesh and Malaysia, supporting and complementing each other through our respective roles.
On behalf of the members of BMCCI, he extends heartiest congratulation to her Excellency, the new High Commissioner of Malaysia in Bangladesh.
Alamgir Jalil also mentioned that BMCCI will be organizing the 4th Showcase Bangladesh 2016 in Kuala Lumpur to promote Bangladeshi products and services in Malaysia, as well as to encourage greater trade between Malaysia and Bangladesh.
