Muktijudder Bijoy Mela-2016 will be celebrated in the port city with slogan of ” Muktijudder Bijoy Mela, Proud of Bangalee” this year at outer stadium ground from first of December next .
This was disclosed at the meeting of the Bijoy Mela Parishad at its office premises with its President and former Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury in the chair.
He said the aim of the Bijoy Mela is to imbue the new generations towards liberation war of Bangladesh and to apprise them about the Independence Bangladesh .
The Mela will begin from 1st December which will continue upto 31 December next. The major events of the mela including reminiscence of Freedom fighter, discussion meeting on Independence Bangladesh, display of different local products of cottage and pottery industries and exhibition of local and foreign made garments and cosmetics products.
Different cultural group of the country will participate the cultural programs in the Bijoy Mancha during the period.
Among others political leader Indu Nandan dutta, Cochairman Alhaj Badiul Alam , General Secretary of Parishad Ahmedur Rahman siddiqui, Md. Yonus, Enamul Houe , Kalimullah Chowdhury and MA Mansur spoke on the occasion, sources said.0 pt
