Mamun-ur Rashid has joined as New Deputy Managing Director of Bank Asia.
Prior to joining in Bank Asia he was Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) in National Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank Ltd. A veteran in the banking industry, Rashid has multifarious experience in the corporate and international banking arena in both local and multinational banks.
Mamun-ur Rashidcompleted his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Marketing from the University of Dhaka and Master Degree in Economics from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
He embarked on banking career in1986 as Management Trainee with Bank of Credit and Commerce International (Overseas) Ltd which, therefore, was taken over by Eastern Bank Ltd. In 1995 he joined in the Credit Africa Bank, Zambia as an expatriate Banker. On completion of contract, he returned Bangladesh and joined in the National Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank Ltd in 1998, said a statement.
