The 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pubali Bank Limited was held at Basundhara Convention Centre in the city on Tuesday. The AGM approved 5 percent stock and 5 percent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, says a press release.
Shareholders at the AGM elected Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, Habibur Rahman, Moniruddin Ahmed, Syed Moazzem Hussain, Ahmed Shafi Choudhury, Fahim Ahmed Faruk Chowdhury, Suraiya Rahman, Rumana Sharif, M Kabiruzzaman Yaqub, Mustafa Ahmed, Musa Ahmed, Azizur Rahman as directors’ of Pubali Bank Ltd.
Meanwhile, the 971st board meeting of the bank elected Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder as chairman and Habibur Rahman and Fahim Ahmed Faruk Chowdhury vice-chairmen of the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Ltd after the AGM.
Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder is an eminent Tea planter. He contributed in education sector by establishing “Hafiz Majumder Education Trust”. The trust provides financial assistance to many academic institutions in sylhet.
Habibur Rahman is a businessman and engaging with various social activities. He is the sponsor Director of Green Delta Insurance, Delta Hospital & Delta Medical Center.
Fahim Ahmed Faruk Chowdhury is a renowned businessman. He is the Managing Director of Chittagong Electric Manufacturing Company Ltd. and Ranks FC Properties. Chowdhury is former Director of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Director of Delta Medical College and Hospital, Surgiscope Hospital Private Ltd.
