The Board of Directors of the National Credit and Commerce Bank Ltd recently elected Md Nurun Newaz Salim as its chairman and Mosleh Uddin Ahmed has been appointed as Managing Director and CEO of the bank, said a press release. Md Nurun Newaz Salim is one of the directors of the bank and an eminent industrialist and entrepreneur.
He is the Chairman of Electro Mart Ltd and Trade International Marketing Ltd and senior vice-president of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was also the chairman of Central Insurance Co Ltd.
Salim is the Member of the Board of Trustee of Feni University and has contribution to the expansion of education in the district by establishing schools, colleges and madrashas. He is also involved with social and cultural organisations. On the others hand, newly appointed Managing Director and CEO Mosleh Uddin was the Additional Managing Director of the bank.
Prior, Mosleh Uddin was the Head of Business of Jamuna Bank Ltd. He has also served as Senior Executive Vice President & Area Head of Corporate Division in The City Bank Ltd. In the process of career progression, he capitalised the opportunities to work many other banks and also held many responsible positions like Head of Leasing Unit in Prime Bank Limited, Head of Gulshan Branch & subsequently Regional Head of Credit in State Bank of India, Dhaka.
