New committee of the district scouts was formed. In this connection, a triennial council meeting was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner’s office here on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Shamshul Arefin was elected president. He presided over the council meeting.
Journalist and Principal of Rangamati Shishu Niketan Md Mostafa Kamal was elected commissioner, Nazir Ahmad Talukder treasurer, Assistant Teacher of Vedvedi High School Ilias Azam Ashrafi secretary, and Senior Teacher of Kaptai Power Development High School Habibul Haque joint secretary.
At the meeting, the councillors also elected five-chairmen for the committee. They are: Police Super Sayeed Tarikul Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tanvir Azam Siddiqi, Headmaster of Rangamati Rani Daya Moni High School Ranatosh Mollick, Headmaster of Muzadded-e-Alfesani Academy Nurul Alam Patwary, and President of Kaptai Press Club Kazi Mosharraf Hossain.
