Additional Secretary of the Women and Children Affairs Ministry AKM Nesar Uddin Bhuiyan has been appointed as the new director general (DG) of Bangladesh Betar.
Nesar belongs to the 1982 regular batch of BCS (information) cadre and served as information officer at 12 ministries.
Prior to joining the state-owned organization, Nesar worked as the press secretary to incumbent President Abdul Hamid and former President Zillur Rahman in different periods.
He also worked as the DG of National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMCO).
Nesar Uddin’s wife Nasrin Sultana is serving as a system analyst at Bangladesh Water Development Board.
