Popular TV actress Runa Khan and promising model cum TV actor Kalyan Corraya went to Nepal to take part in shooting of three to four plays and telefilms. But after finishing shooting of a telefilm directed by Shahriar Nazim Joy the most massive earthquake hit the central Nepal since 1934. As a result, members of the shooting unit including Runa Khan, Kalyan Corraya, among others, didn’t get the opportunity to continue rest of the works.
Before earthquake Runa Khan and Kalyan got the opportunity to complete
shooting of Joy’s directed telefilm Holiday. Its shooting was taken place
at Dhulikhel area in Nepal.
Under Shahriar Nazim Joy’s direction for the first time Runa Khan and Kalyan Corraya worked together as a pair in a telefilm, which script was also written by Joy. The telefilm will be telecasted today at 2:35pm on Channel i.
While sharing her feelings about the experiences to face earthquake while taking part in shooting in Nepal actress Runa Khan told this correspondent, “Before earthquake we took part in shooting on April 22, 23 and 24 in Nepal. Later the massive attack was taken place. We survived only the blessings of Allah. Under
Joy Bhai’s direction I have worked for first time. He is a good director. I am giving him thanks to give me an opportunity to act in a nice role in the telefilm. I have really enjoyed working in the telefilm. I earlier worked with my friend Kalyan.
He is also a good actor.”
Kalyan shared his feelings by this way, “Now I am feeling well because viewers
will watch that memorable work where we performed before earthquake. Still
now I can recall those moments. I am still not well. I am giving thanks to Joy
Bhai to portray a nice conjugal story of a couple in his directed telefilm.”
It may be mentioned that Kalyan and Runa first worked together in Kaisar Ahmed’s directed a telefilm titled Obhishopto Raat. Later they again worked together in Dipanakar Dipon’s directed a drama serial Love Guru Dot Com. Recently this serial has finished its broadcasting on Channel 9.
Meanwhile, Runa Khan has also been working in Mrittika Goon’s directed
a movie titled Kalo Megh-er Bhela. Therefore, she has finished shooting
of Sajedul Awal’s movie Chhitkini.
On the other hand, Kalyan has started to take part in shooting of Sardar Rokon’s directed a serial titled Baji O Bajna. His acted another serial is Dolchhut Projapoti, directed by Arif Khan, is being telecasted on NTV now, he said.
