Neo-JMB leader Rajib put on 6-day remand

A Dhaka court on Monday placed neo-JMB leader Rajib Gandhi alias Jahangir Alam, and also an alleged mastermind of Gulshan Cafe attack, on a six-day remand in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud granted the remand as Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTCU) Unit Inspector Rafiq Uddin and also the IO of the case, produced Rajib before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
The case was filed with Dhanmondi Police Station. The CTTCU in a drive
arrested Rajib Gandhi from Tangail on January 13 this year.
Earlier on November 1, last year, 10 militants including Rajib were holding a secret meeting in the city’s Dhanmondi area. Police detained two of them on the spot, but Rajib with some others fled away.
