Lawmaker from Rangpur-2 constituency Abul Kalam Md. Ahsanul Hoque Chowdhury said this while inaugurating development works of Ekorchali (Bazar) Market at a ceremony on Saturday as the chief guest.
The Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED) has been implementing construction works of the three new sheds of the Bazar under Ekorchali union in Taraganj upazila at Taka 34 lakh to develop marketing facilities of the locally produced goods.
After launching construction works of the sheds by the chief guest, he attended and addressed a public rally arranged at nearby local Ekorchali High School ground with Taraganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Golam Mowla in the chair.
President of Taraganj upazila AL Atiar Rahman, its General Secretary Nazrul Islam, Taraganj Upazila Engineer Ahmmed Haider Zaman, Officer-in-Charge of Taraganj Thana Taposh Sarker, addressed the rally.
