Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy has declared her intention to run for a third successive term in office.
The doctor turned politician will seek nomination from Awami League President and Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina to contest the upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation polls for the mayoral post.
“If everything goes according to plan, the city corporation polls will be held in December. I will seek nomination from the prime minister,” Ivy said while speaking as chief guest at a programme in the city Sunday.
In 2016, AL mayor candidate Ivy won the second straight term as Narayanganj City mayor.
