Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) on Monday announced a budget of Tk 488.90 crore for the fiscal 2015-2016.
NCC mayor Dr Selina Hayat Ivy unveiled the budget at a programme in the presence of politicians, civil society members and people of different sections at the Nagar Bhaban on Monday morning.
The fourth budget of the city corporation envisages a revenue income of Tk 73,52,22,983 and expenditure of Tk 48,41,71,435.
The development expenditure has been estimated Tk 435,38,94,000.
Speaking on the occasion, Ivy said they have kept special allocation in the budget for poverty reduction, information technology, development of education and health sector as well as for the development of the infrastructures.
